The feast of Christ the King.

Readings for Mass
First Reading: Ezekiel 34:11-12, 15-17
Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 23:1-2, 2-3, 5, 6
Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 15:20-26, 28
Gospel: Matthew 25:31-46

I was not struck by the image of Christ him self but the symbolizm of the Sheep and the Goats. I was listening to Fr. Bill Holtzinger podcast (the St Athonys Podcast) and in this episode he was talking about the eatting habits of both aninals and how it can be like our spirituality. Sheep eat carefully and goats eat and desimate everything and leave nothing.  He then linked in with the stewardship. The sheep are careful steward compared with goats and may expalin why Jesus used the sheep and goats analogy.
